It’s that time of year again … the Tour de Yorkshire returns to Norton and Malton on Friday 28th April 2017!

The event also coincides with the start of the May Day Bank Holiday weekend, so it's going to be hectic on the roads.
According to the published Tour de Yorkshire Stage One timings, the competitors set off from Bridlington and are set to reach Norton and Malton anytime between 2.15pm and 2.40pm.
The world-class cyclists will pedal their way along Langton Road, Church Street and Castlegate in Malton. They will then head along Newbiggin, Broughton Road (B1257) before heading out towards Amotherby, the Barughs, and Kirby Misperton prior to joining the A169 to Pickering.
If you live in Pickering, the Tour de Yorkshire should reach you between 2.55pm to 3.15pm, before tackling the rest of the A169 towards Whitby. Stage One is due to finish in Scarborough’s North Bay anytime from 4.45pm.
Don’t forget there is also the Tour de Yorkshire Caravan, which travels ahead of the competitors.
There will be some road closures in place, so our drivers will know how to get you out and about without any hassle.
