One aspect of the summer season that affects our area in a big way is traffic.
With lots more cars on the roads, and buses taking on even more passengers than usual, it’s nice to know there’s a friendly, local taxi service that can get you from A to B, hassle-free!
Our area is home to some world famous attractions: Flamingo Land; the North Yorkshire Moors Railway; Castle Howard and Eden Camp to name just a few.
If you don’t own a car, then some of these places are difficult to get to.
Flamingo Land is located at Kirby Misperton, a pretty village between Malton and Pickering, just off the busy A169.
This world-famous attraction is now open daily and includes theme park, zoo and conservation area and a holiday resort. They also host their ‘Party in the Park’ concerts throughout the summer
If theme parks aren’t your thing, then don’t worry! How about a trip on a lovely steam locomotive?
The North Yorkshire Moors Railway stretches 24-miles between the market town of Pickering and the seaside port of Whitby. Now summer is here, there are regular services, and you can arrive in time for departures by booking your taxi with us.
Castle Howard overlooking the incredible Howardian Hills, is one of the country’s finest historic houses.
Now open daily, the iconic building designed by Sir John Vanbrugh has inspired many a film maker, including a recent adaptation of Brideshead Revisited.
And for anyone that loves history, then Eden Camp Modern History Theme Museum is hard to beat. This incredible attraction was once a prisoner-of-war camp, featuring 33 huts each with its own Second World War theme.
